  • 20g sugar
  • 4g active dry yeast
  • 10mL sunflower oil
  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • Additional flour for shaping
  • Sunflower oil for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, yeast, and sunflower oil.
  2. Gradually add flour while stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 3-4 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. After rising, knead again for 5 minutes and divide into 12 pieces.
  6. Shape each piece into a ball, flatten slightly, brush with oil, fold, and place on parchment paper.
  7. Allow to rise again for 20 minutes.
  8. Steam the baos in a steamer for about 10 minutes; let rest for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
