  • 8 pieces chicken tenders
  • 1 cup crushed corn flakes
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 stalks green onion (whites and greens separated)
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by mixing crushed corn flakes, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in one bowl. In another bowl, whisk the eggs.
  2. Coat each chicken tender first in the egg mixture and then in the corn flake mixture.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with avocado oil.
  5. Cook for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  6. While cooking, prepare the sauce by heating avocado oil in a saucepan and sautéing minced garlic before adding gochujang, honey, ketchup, mirin, sesame oil, and green onion whites.
  7. Once cooked, drizzle the sauce over the chicken tenders and garnish with green onion greens and toasted sesame seeds.
