  • 2 large apples (chopped finely)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 11×7 inch pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and dark brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in chopped apples and cinnamon until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. While the blondies are baking, melt butter and stir in brown sugar and maple syrup until smooth. Remove from heat and mix in powdered sugar.
  9. Drizzle warm glaze over the cooled blondies before serving.
