  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup hot fudge sauce, warmed
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  4. Alternately mix in dry ingredients and buttermilk until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in hot fudge sauce and chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 55–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Drizzle with additional hot fudge if desired.
