  • 4 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup whole or 2% milk (warmed)
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly butter a 9×13 baking pan.
  2. In a small pot, melt butter with minced garlic. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. In a stand mixer bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  4. Add warmed milk, egg, and cooled garlic butter to dry ingredients; mix until combined.
  5. Knead dough on low speed for about 10-12 minutes until smooth.
  6. Divide dough into 12 equal portions; shape into balls and place in the pan.
  7. Cover and let rise until doubled in size (1-2 hours).
  8. Brush tops with beaten egg wash; bake for 20-30 minutes until golden.
  9. Finish by brushing with additional garlic butter before serving.
