  • 500 g bread flour or all-purpose flour
  • 160 ml warm milk
  • 160 ml warm water
  • 10 g instant dry yeast
  • 10 g sugar
  • 8 g salt
  • 20 g melted unsalted butter (or olive oil)
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a container, mix warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast until combined.
  2. Add flour and salt to the mixture; stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough by hand until smooth and non-sticky.
  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it proof for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Divide the risen dough into six equal pieces; shape each into rounds.
  6. Roll out each round into an 18 cm circle about 5 mm thick.
  7. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook each round until bubbles form; flip to cook both sides.
  8. Lower heat if necessary and cover while cooking to retain moisture.
  9. Brush with melted butter or olive oil before serving.
