  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted, for filling)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for icing)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Prepare the cinnamon filling by mixing melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon filling. Layer the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the filling; swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for about 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. While cooling, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the icing.
  9. Drizzle icing over cooled bread before slicing.
