  • 1 cup lump crab meat
  • 1 cup medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Paprika for sprinkling
  • Crusty bread or oyster crackers

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the onion, garlic, celery, and carrot until soft.
  2. Stir in flour and cook for about 2 minutes until light golden.
  3. Gradually add seafood stock while stirring to avoid lumps. Then add heavy cream and white wine; bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add crab meat and shrimp; cook for 5-7 minutes until shrimp are pink.
  5. Season with smoked paprika, Old Bay seasoning, and cayenne pepper if desired. Adjust seasoning as needed.
