  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 10 Oreo cookies (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. Crush the Oreos in a zip lock bag until finely ground.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
  4. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos.
  8. Scoop about three tablespoons of dough onto prepared trays, spacing them two inches apart.
  9. Top each ball with additional crushed Oreos if desired.
  10. Bake for about 11 minutes or until golden brown on the bottoms.
  11. Allow cooling on the tray before transferring.
