  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 large apple (peeled, cored, and chopped into small pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8.5 x 4.5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth; add eggs one at a time.
  4. Alternate mixing in dry ingredients and milk until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped apples mixed with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Layer batter and apple mixture in the prepared pan; sprinkle topping mixture on top.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool slightly before drizzling with glaze; allow to cool completely before slicing.
